MASSAGE IN A BOTTLE

This acrylic painting is currently being displayed in my massage therapist waiting room.  She had a huge bare wall and I offered to paint something calm and relaxing to suit the room d├ęcor.

WINGS AND PETALS

A 16 by 20 inch acrylic painting began as demo to help teach a friend how to paint.  I returned to the painting a few weeks later and realized its potential.  VOILA  The photo doesn't give the painting justice as it was painted mostly in interference colors.

SALVIA-plein air

I painted this watercolor of the Salvia outside in front of the Art Center recently.  It was in full bloom and blowing in the wind. I painted it very loose to suggest it waving back and forth.

FANCY FREE

I had the yen to paint butterflies but wanted to suggest them in a creative way. Butterflies when camouflaged in the forest become a mystery to locate, as is in this Diptych. Enjoy

EVENING FALLS

In this painting, I used Gary Chapmans technique of watercolor on canvas.  Gary did a demo for us at Bridgewater and his paintings turned out beautifull.  I'm happy with my results however, I had to add some light acrylic to brighten up the lights at the end.

Bridgewater Retreat- watercolor

There is so mush to paint at Bridgewater Retreat in Tweed Ontario, I didn't know where to begin.  I took several photos that I can refer to later on.  These two watercolors include the facade of our rustic accomodations.

ART is MUSIC

Another new creation, this one with a dual message. Study this carefully and you will see how these Islands and the foreground have a musical message.

MORNING SHIMMER

I created this acrylic painting to depict the variety of , colors reflecting and focus in and out, as the water shimmers. The sun is coming from the top, thus creating the ducks and grasses in shadow only.
